Our Homie’s Care events are an interactive initiative that involves a lot of hard work from our team members, partners, and community members. The purpose is to display compassion to people residing in underserved areas by providing them with meals, hygiene products, and clothing with dignity and respect. These events occur in phases, beginning with fundraising and collecting donations to purchasing the hygiene products and nutritious meals that are later distributed to our unhoused neighbors. This is often made possible through local businesses and restaurants that we partner with to maximize the success we have in our efforts to serve as many people as we can. Once all of the hygiene products are ready to be assembled, we host the first part of the Homie’s Care event in which our family, friends, and passionate community members come together to create the Care Kits, enjoy music, and recognize the impact of their work. When the Care Kits are completed and the meals are prepared, we conduct the next part of the event in which we meet up at a predetermined location, often at Skid Row in Los Angeles, and distribute these items. Homie’s Care events have always been incredibly successful, and would not be possible without our generous donors, volunteers, and partners.
